At first glance I would be inclined to say Snowflake Eel. Was there by chance some yellow through the head etc... that isn't picked up by the camera?

No yellow that i can see. It's not a Snowflake for sure.

Gymnothorax moringa; Spotted Moray Eel, possibly.

I would say maybe from about two or three inches down. But after that it looks more like the tail shot for most of the body.
