Hi there! a was wondering whats the best ph for my redbelly,now im keeping it at 6.8 7 is it ok ????
And what do I put in there plastic plants, rocks,a shelter ????for know a have a few plastic plants thats all ans on the internet a saw piranhas in some aquarium that where full of plants ???? .I reely need help :P
one more thing,Some one told me that my 2 reds are gona eat each other ???there about 4''and there in a 20 gallons.And I alays have a gold fish or 2 in there....When a goth them they told me it was ok!!if some can help.Let me know !!!

I have never been a big fan of piranhas, but I do believe that I remember hearing that piranhas are actually a very social fish that need to be in a group to be happy. I also believe I remember that they are a shy fish, especially if kept alone.

At the very least, I've bumped your thread so hopefully somebody that's knowledgeable about piranhas can jump in on it. :D

A friend of mine had three (8-9") red breasted in a 90 gallon. No fighting problems. He did have some real plants in there too, but the fish tended to uproot them every once in a while.
