Heads up!!!!! John (NAFB) has agreed to do this future order.
I will post on this thread very shortly what custodians will be available for this order. Starting Jan 18th you can reply on this thread with your order.
This Group Order will start Jan 18th and close Feb 5th.
There will be no limit's to the amount that you can order so start your list!!!
John will order the total quantity requested after Feb 5th.
I will post on this thread when your order is available for pick up at which time you will go to NAFB to pay and pick up your order.
On or after Jan 18th place your order here stating your member name, particular custodians wanted and how many you would like (there will be an order format provided). The order will run until Feb 5th so you have lots of time to order.
FYI: This thread is for ordering only and not for discussions please and thank you.
**The order will be available to AP members only with at least 10 posts.**

Wow guys, lets try to be a little more cuteous in the process. Liz is doing this out of her own kind heart, and John is doing this to benefit all of us. Lets try and be a little more polite in the process. We might be running a little behind the original timeline, but I am sure they will add on the days at the end.
Thanks John and Liz for all the help and all the hard work you put into these group orders.
Cheers,
Dan

Asked John about this on the weekend. He said he was looking into what he could get, and from where, and that he would then figure out the list/pricing.
I too can hardly wait! But like all good things in this hobby, patience is key!

im confused on how this is working. Do we have to list what we want or just pick from the list of what john gets in, just at a better price?

February 5th, 2008, 09:53 AM
Yes, I am confused as well. I thought we were supposed to "place an order" on this thread? I've been waiting for an update as to what was available and actually happening before I placed an order.
Now I am super confused (nothing new really)!!!?!?!? Ah well, maybe I missed something in the instructions. Let us know if we can still participate in this.
Thanks!

I too am confused too by John's comment.
Is he getting a shipment and letting us know what is in and just come in and buy them or has he gotten a price list together from his suppliers and then will order in the snails once he gets a total quantity count ?
I have been patiently waiting to order some Trochus, Nassarius, cerith snails.

From what I understand, John is bringing a massive snail shipment. He is trying to order everything under the sun, so there is something for everyone.
Once the shipmennt comes in, people can just go there and purchase them.

That's too bad I was looking forward to placing an order as it's hard to get out there in time to get a good selection.

Agreed I was hoping that I could order to reserve product so I can work around a schedule between work, kids and the wife and getting out to East Toronto.
Looking for
Nassarius, Trochus, Cerith, Turbos, Blue Hermit, Red Hermits, conch, sand sifting star, Cleaning shrimps, Fire Shirmps.
But to get a deal sometimes you need to hussle, thank you John, looking forward to the pricing

Sounds great, but how is this a group order and not just an announcement that John has snails?? Do we give our names to get a discount?
Love the idea and appreciate the effort, now what?
Thanks!

So are people just placing there orders here or are people just going to show up at the store to get the snails. I would of thought that right after John posted the list people would of been all over the list and placing orders. Can someone let us know on whats the procedure on placing orders here. Thanks
