my firsh piranhas

hi ...can anyone tell me what piranhas need to live ???water ph ,food(how often)the tank ...well tell me all you know ...
I got 2 3½''redbelly in a 20 gallon tank is it to small ....any way thx guy :cheers:

well first you might get better results in the freshwater forums on this board, you posted under saltwater and lot dont keep both :)

But i have had them.. 2 that size in a 20G is fine for now, they would do much better in 50G tank as they are VERY messy! so in a tank that small i would try and see if they will eat Pellets.. i fed my Oscars ( same idea) twice a day Pelets and Beef heart, Then fed them live Ghost shrimps once a week.. Feeding them Live foods like Goldfish or minows cause the water to go bad fast.. And will cause Hole in head!

hope this is a start, As for PH i just used Tap water! so i was not sure.
