We got some really nice rock from a fellow AP'er which was in his sump. The polyps in this picture were originally taken for some sort of sponge as the resembled that appearance. Now, a week and a bit later they have "grown" and appear to be polyps of some sort..they do have a center opening to them. I am also assuming they are "white" because they are bleached out.

What do you think?

My guess would be tunicates (aka sea squirts). There are white tunicates which are perfectly healthy (i.e., not bleached).

There are very many types of tunicates. Check this out.

My first guess would be bleached shrooms from being in the sump with no light.

Really? I was leaning towards zoa's cause of the edging.

Ya the frilly edging had me thinking zoos but when my mushrooms are under stress from moving they look just like that but not white.

The more I look I keep changing my mind between zoos and shrooms :eyesspin:

So it appears that they are starting to colour up. It looks like they are a flourescent green.

What are peoples opinions? Zoa's or some type of polyp?
