Not that colourful but what a cool fish I picked up from a local reefer getting out of the hobby. Didn't know what it is. It's about 4" long, the mouth is located in front of its forehead. It swims near the surface of the water all the time. I've never seen this before, anyone have an ID? Thanks.

Yeppers - gots yerself a Juvi.
Just take care - as many are voracious predators; and even the smallest grow to >12". Also note they are very difficult to keep in most cases; especially due to inability to provide adequate dietary requirements. If you can get it to eat squid - you should be golden (at least with keeping it alive)...and you then just can hope that any smaller fish in your tank don't become dinner. ;)
Congrats & good luck!

Thanks again ajx, it eats everything during feeding time. It's quiet small and I think it will take sometime to reach that size. But when it does i've also read that they are very tasty!

No magic - it's just about trying to replicate their natural diet as much as is possible - and being that they commonly eat other cephalopods ... it's a good starting point.

Darn it .. reminds me of my Tribal:laugh: Hometown ... houses on stilts and we use to catch them by scooping them up in big Nets. They usually travel in groups of six or more .... Food as always....MMmmmmmm!!
Hey Manny .. you have this Magnet for 'acquring' uncommon marine livestock/hitchhiker don't you ....:D ???
