Hello All,

I'm not sure this is the best forum to ask, but I'll try anyways. I'm going to Toronto (and area) this weekend and want to visit a couple of the best fish stores while I'm there. What would everyone recommend? I just want to see a REAL fish store (i.e. clean and well kept tanks, very knowledgeable, employ the latest techniques in the hobby, etc, etc). The LFS in my area leave a lot to be desired.

I may buy a new lighting system, if I find the right one. I think one of the places I'll probably go to is ORG. Based on what I've read here, its a good place.

Thanks

Where's the reef, Reef raft, and North American fish breeders, these are sponsors of the site. All have well kept shops.

There are other stores in the GTA, but some are hit and miss on the quality of the live stock that week.

This.

But also, I'd throw SeeU Marine into the mix. They have a well kept shop too.

I know not every one likes them but Aquarium Services ( Big Al's ) have some really nice stores in Toronto if you are going to ORG then go to the BA across the street I don't think you will be disappointed.

Good idea River, if it's just across the street then why not have a peek. You never know if you may get lucky and find a deal, just be sure to look over the livestock closely.

You might also want to check to see which sponsor have a shipment coming in over the weekend. I suspect most of them will be closed on thanksgiving monday but I am sure this weekend (sat/sun) might have a shipment.

Sea U Marine (Woodbine & Hwy 7) have some nice fiji mariculture corals now and always a nice selection of indonesian fish & corals.

Aquarium Services (Big Al's), check out the corporate stores as they have the best stocks and most decent tanks; these are Oakville, Mississauga and Kennedy (okay). Other franchise locations seems like 2nd grade in terms of livestock and tank care.
