Hello all!!
I was just reviewing the Forum and wanted to know if there were any specific areas that I should add a group for?!?!
Would anyone like to see specific Species forums, etc.?
Just trying to make this the best it can be...and due to this being a place for YOU, the contributor, I would like to have your thoughts and opinions.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!!!
Best Regards,
Kenzy

Hmm... I was thinking maybe you could condense a few sections.
What's that saying "you can't see the forest for the trees".
In the trading forums you could break them down to East,Central and West Canada. Sometimes too many forums just get overlooked. Just a thought.

Very Good Point! I was initially asked for individual sections (as I had set-up), but think that your idea would be better!!
I'm off to the Control Panel to make the changes!! Thanks for the Input Kenzy - anything else - anyone??

I might be pushing my luck here, :D but you could think about moving the captive breeding/prop down to the help zone and making them one larger forum. Just another thought.

No problem with moving that...what exactly do you mean by "making them one larger forum" though?? Just by me moving it? Or something more?>???

Actually I was thinking of taking all three and making them into one big "Ask Dr. Frank" since alot of the material would fall into his field anyways. You might think about changing the forum name, it's to close to "Ask Dr. Ron".IMHO
Maybe a few others can chime in here and offer their suggestions before any more changes are made.

Personally i liked the trading forums for each province. not a big deal, and not sure why i liked it as it doesn't seem to really matter, but i did.
What about a catagory for people with frags etc who don't mind shipping?
If possible a section with links to, or your own, ID type pages.. disscriptions and pics of different spiecies to help idiots like me id things.
I am sure i'll come up with more, but thats it for now.

Thanks Scott!!
In respect to the Individual Forums for Trading - can everyone please post their opinion here and I will make any changes per majority demand!
What exactly would you like in respect to the FRAG's section? Give me some direction, and I will set it up.
I am in the process of setting up a FULL reference section for all (the majority) livestock kept in captivity. This section will have photos + care guide + any other relevent information I can find. As you can imagine...this is taking A LOT of time to get set-up - but with my own research and continuing input from Frank - it's coming along. This section will be part of the shopping section that is still in development.
Sorry for the time that the shopping section is taking to get online - but anyone can sell livestock - I am striving to make a difference in the existing industry - so I need to offer something needed and different. My attempt for getting as close to perfection as I can!
Any more input/suggestions/thoughts???

I would think that the boards for each province would be where to post if you were only interested in trading within that zone.. typically because you don't want to ship, but don't mind meeting up with people to trade off/sell. If you have an item that you don't mind shipping for trades/selling, then it would go in a seperate forum. This way you would only have to check your local forum, and the shipping forum, and if you hadn't posted in the shipping forum then you won't get e-mails etc asking if you are willing to ship.
I am sure there has got to be a better name than the shipping forum, i'll leave that up to you :-)

I also have to agree with the ask dr frank thing.. it is close to ask DR. Ron, and the other board also has fish breeding forum with frank marini.. to easy for someone to get upset about it.. you know how weird people can get.
again i have no suggestion for the name though

here is a suggestion....
if you are doing up a section on fish that are kept and their care..
i think an important other section is one on corals....with their care and more important the minimum lighting that they need and type of water flow... i know that when i see corals for sale.. or that i may want to trade for ...i dont have an idea what the requirements are.. and since shy away from buying them..as i dont want to drop my $$ into something that will be dead in a week... so i hope you get the idea.. and maybe come up with some sort of chart ...maybe a generalized chart with this info..
thanks..

The reference section will have Fish/Corals/Inverts/Clams/Etc...all as a reference point with important facts for each!!
asmodeus
ReefCon is a good program, and has some reference points too. There is a link to download the program on the AquariumPros.ca LINKS page.

i think this would be cool for our group to share their experiences and fancy for certain marine organisms!! i enjoy this on reefcentral and feel that it would be a great help on this board as well..especially for newbies!!

Sounds like a good idea to me as well. Please tell me what forums you would like to see. I know there are the following on RC:
Anemones & Clownfish
Cephalopods
Mantis Shrimp
Nano Reefs
Seahorses
SPS Keepers
Tridacnid Clams and other Mollusks
The Next Level
...as well as one for Coral Husbandry and one for Reef Chemistry.
Who would like to have something like this added to AquariumPros.ca? Please let me know exactly which species you would like to see added too.
As soon as I get a basis on what to add..."It Will Be Done"! :D
Thanks to all for the help!

umm..i think that question would be best suited to others on the list as i am interested in anything at the moment...i am really interested in 'eels', lionfish, butterflyfish, moorish idols.....i noticed a pic of a scorpionfish on the site...of coursse since i dont have a tank setup yet i wont be keeping any of these any time soon..but the research on them is starting now..i really think mantis shrimp are cool...as well as cephalopods ...i guess anenomes and clownfish would be a benefit to everyone as most poeple do have clownfish!! id like to know more about clownfish and alternative hosts as well..all the topics on reef central are cool but it could definitely be added too....the seahorse forum is definitely cool as well...nanoreefs might be something i would be willing to try down the road but not to start with....i think there are alot of poeple who would like to talk about different coral species in a different forum...that way we can discuss the specific needs of the corals as well in a similar way to the species forum....does this sound good to you? a kind of modular approach to the forums would be best as far as staying on topic is concerned. hope this helps!!
