Well AFSS came over this evening to help me tear down the 65, move it out of the way and fill it back up again. Making room for the 180 Ive got coming Thurs night. Thanks Scott

I have all the rock and corals ( mainly softies with a bubble and a brian ) still in the tank. The water level is just below the overflow with 1 maxi 1200 and heater in the tank.

Will things be ok for a few days to a week?

What a mess :eek2: The wife is freaking:rolleyes: and quiet frankly , this thing is going to be bigger than I thought it was going to be.

I have an electrician running 2 separate feeds into the room and I still have to cut the hole in the drywall bigger to accomindate the new tank.

man Im stressed

Sorry had to vent

Hey Mitch

It may seem like things are a lot worse than they are, but everything seems to work out OK in the end. When I tore my 125 gallon down back in September, I felt the same way. I moved all my rock, and corals into a 30, 35 and 15 for up to 4 months. I still have one last monster piece of acropora, porites and green star galaxea in my 35. I kept everything alive and well with a single heater in each tank, a couple of power heads and a hangon mechanical filter (Penguin, Aqua Clear, Eclipse). I lit each tank with a couple of T-12 NO fluorescents with Canadian Tire ballasts. Some of the corals seemed to like the NO lighting (vs VHO) better. The acros lost their vibrant colours though. What I'm getting at is don't sweat leaving your rock and corals in transition for a while if it means doing your new project right. You'll be glad you took your time, thought it out and did it right the first time.

Good luck with it Mitch
