I thought it would be cool if everyone shared their horsies or their horsies home :D. I know theres quite a few on here so please show!! I'd love to see others setups and its always a great inspiration seeing them. It would be nice if you could tell the specs as well so everyone has an idea especially for those who plan to setup one soon like me. :)

Make space! lol I got a nice spot right next to my desk here. Not enough space for a 50g or larger sadly but the 29 will do for a pair or maybe 2 :D. I miss having these guys its been over 2 years now. Next week I should be getting my lighting, LR, I will prob be going skimmerless on this one since ive never tried it before on any tanks but mainly because its not a drilled tank. I will be using a HOB aquaclear filter or possibly getting cannister filter. I figure this way ill get less bubbles. Lucky me i still have sand which was leftovers from my 90g. I will prob be using most of the water from my 90g to fill her up aswell as some R/O water and then let the cycling begin. I plan to keep Kuda pair or Reidi or maybe a pair from both. In with the seahorses i will keep a few softies mainly zoas, acan, mushrooms and different kinds of macro algae. My light will be a total of 130watts so i figure that should be enough for the softies and still keep my temps fairly cool.

Those are some beautiful horsies you got there! :D I like the second last pic haha. :nw:Hands down.. being able to breed and successfully raise seahorses young not only takes time but is a big challenge and you look like you're doing an awesome job! Are your tanks mostly setup for breeding? I dont think id step into breeding yet.. possibly when i get more experience ;). I was thinking on setting up a second tank for seahorses but now im thinking about turning my 90g into one. It would mainly be a soft coral tank maybe start a collection of acan and zoos and different mushrooms. I think Patwa's tank was that what inspired me and showed me the variety of different coloured ones there are. Possibly later on when I have more experience I would step into sps corals and then setup a second tank for seahorses :). Hm.. I need some inspiring FTS with seahorses to help decide :P

Yes our tanks are only set-up for breeding. Thank-you for your compliments on our horses.

Pardon my photography skills...it's an art...and I'm a mere scientist (well, engineer to be precise)...
Here are my wild Comes pair from WTR. Both of them are eating well, eating alot, and eating frozen Cyclop-eeze. My goal is to train them on frozen mysis.
Light colored one is the male, and the brown one female. Please comment if you think the male's on the skinny side (I think he is, and he's getting me worried).
Being a 10gal hex, I know the tank's on the small side, but that's temporary until I find a good display tank to house them. The tank has a heater, pseudo-powerhead (not very strong) and a nano skimmer. And I place hitching post and rocks to ensure they have decent swimming room.

Next tank...dwarves!!!! My sincere gratitudes to Coralscaping who helped me get these precious...yesssss...they're my preccccciousssssss....
Tank's a pico 2.5 gal. Undergravel filter system hooked up to a nano HOB filter, where I have some Chaeto in. Flow's been adjusted to quite low, not only to limit current, but to not suck up sand through the undergravel mat. Live sand and one very-pico-size piece of live rock. Got some also very-pico-size clean up crew in there to help consume the dense BBS concentration.
First couples attached pics after tank are the male. He's got these awesome looking markings on his dorsal fins, and the female's (3 pics to follow) just a plain show off, and poser in front of the camera.
They're the cutest things ever! Although these babies are just too small for my old camera to focus properly. Once again, pardon my pic taking skills.

Erectus are known to be a very deep chested seahorse, they are commonly known as "the Lined Seahorse".

No it's not caulerpa, it's Kelp (Botryocladia sp.) or common name red grape...
DH bought it for me at Big Al's... :pompom:
