June Meeting

Anyone want to volunteer to hold the next meeting and give Gary a chance to get things under control. Maybe we can try for June 3rd.
What do you think can we get it together by the 3rd or soon after. :fish:

Well I think we have everything under control now. It is sure better to have wet sleeves than wet feet or knees!! They suck!!

Any way I would still be willing to hold the meeting here if you guys want to try me again! We could do it either June 2 or 3. If you guys are game so am I.

Once again sorry for having to cancel on everyone but things happen at the worst possible time. Murphy was right again!

Unfortunately I won't be able to make the club meeting this month. I'll be in Kingston this weekend. I wanted to brag to you guys about the beautiful Coral Beauty I bought off of Gary last weekend too. I look forward to meeting all of the London members at the next meeting. I hope you guys have a variety of frags, etc. for sale soon as my 75 gallon is just coming on line. Other than snails, the Beauty and 90 lbs. of LR, it's looking empty. Keep me in mind and have a lot of fun this weekend. I know you will. I'll sign up for membership at the next meeting.

It was a small turnout this time. We had a couple of new folks (Mike and Rodolfo) and a few regulars (Joe, Rick, Mariano and his wife Jen and myself). We had lots of discussion on my reef and lots of questions from the new hobbyists about starting out. After about 2 1/2 hours we had our frag swap/sale and everyone headed home with something. Although it was a small turnout it was a good meeting with lots of info being passed around.

I wish I could have made the meeting but I was in Chicago for a Marine Aquarium Conference. Just wondering if there was any talk on a BBQ/swap for the summer. I don't think we will have another meeting until September probably as the summer time is usually a slow time for the hobby. Maybe we should start another thread for a BBQ for the summer time?

When were we thinking of the BBQ. I could probably hold it, but i have already had a meeting this year. If someone else would like to take this on that's OK with me but if no takers i could work something out. My setup has completely changed since the last meeting anyway.

Hey Chad if you want to host it I will bow out as my tank will only be just set up so not much to look at yet. When you pick a date could you chose before the last week of July or after the first week of August as I'm going snorkeling in the keys from July 20 to Aug 4th and I would really like to go to the BBQ

I could host the BBQ at my place. I live in Strathroy so that might be too far for some to drive. We had a meeting here once a couple years ago and it worked out ok. I don't have a huge basement where tha tanks are but a large backyard, deck, pool that we can all hangout and and some burgers and drinks.

Strathroy sounds good to me! If anyone needs a ride I am sure I'd be able to fit a couple of folks in our car. Last year MACL bought the burgers and stuff andthe rest of us brought salads/deserts,etc.. It was a good time last year at Jesse's.

I'll wait till tomorrow night and see what the response is for hosting the BBQ at my place. In the mean time if there are some dates out there for July sometime pass them along and we'll get it narrowed down to a couple dates and then start a new thread.

I'm gone alot in the summer as well. Were not going to be able to please everybody's schedule. Pick a date. If the response is decent then go with it. If it's not then pick another.

Could always do a poll on a couple of dates maybe 1 in July and 1 in August and see what happens.
