My percula clown has a small white growth by gill. I thought at first Ich but seems isolated to the one spot. Eating habits are great and doesnt seem to be affecting it so far. Any ideas what it might be (parasite ?) and what to treat it with.

Thanks

Had the same thing happen with my gramma way back when. My "growth" ended up being a nasty isopod! Hopefully that's not the case with yours. Does it looke like a copepod if you look at it VERY closely? Big black (or dark) eyes?

I ended up having to catch my gramma (no mean feat in a 72g full of LR!) and I was going to pull the isopod off with tweezers. Fortunately, when I finally caught the gramma, the isopod jumped right off of him into my sink. That was almost a year ago. Gramma's doing fine, and haven't seen any other isopods in my tank (thank God!!!)

Good luck figuring out what yours is, and good luck getting rid of whatever it is.
