I have a 7 to 8 inches big Powder Brown Tang in my 75g tank now.
I am thinking about to put a Yellow Tang to eat the hair alage in the tank.
I know that Tangs don't get along with each other.
Plus, I actually tried myself to put a Powder Blue Tang and a Yellow Tang several months before.
They just fight all day long.
Do you have any solution to put these two fish together?

Just an idea, instead of a yellow tang (which I find don't eat hair algae that well), you could add a foxface. I added one a few months ago (and I have a regal blue tang) and the two don't care about each other at all, and the foxface (a type of rabbitfish) will do a good number on the hair algae.

Foxface is a really nice looking fish IMO.

I almost forgot, before getting any fish do a search to see if there are any special needs. The Foxface also has a toxic sting if I remember correctly.

You are correct, the tips of the dorsal fin are hollow (as with all rabbitfish), and can sting if provoked, but the toxicity is not as bad as say a lion fish, if I recall correctly, but it is true that there is the potential there for problems.
Mine has adapted to my tank quite well, and is fat and healthy, browses all day on algae, and is not a bully, hardly even notices his tank mates.

I put in an emerald crab and within a week all my hair and bubble algae was totally under control.

Thank you all for all the advise.
The reason I choice yellow tang is because of its color, shape and price.
The most important thing is easy to keep.
The foxface ......... mmmm it's a pretty fish for sure,
but I don't think they are as easy as yellow tang.
The crab should be a good idea.
Is this crab easy to keep?
attack other fish or cleaner shrimp?

In my experience (assuming you get a healthy specamin) a foxface is easier and will last longer than any yellow tang. (Yellow tangs have a bad track record for parasites (not ick, but the other one (black spots)). I had two mythrax crabs in my tank, but they never touched the hair algae (they are preferred for dealing with valonia (bubble algae))
I am partial to the foxface, but to each his own, but I will leave you with this...Why do you think so many yellow tangs are always at LFS's - it is because they have a horrible track record of survival, yet it is the first fish that most buy.

Availability is the reason for so many yellow tangs, color and price.
Who have had a yellow tang for a long time and how long?

I just wanted to mention that I would NOT recommend
a powder blue and a powder brown in the same tank.
They will likely fight till death...I had it happen one time
to me....the brown CREEEEEMATED the blue and it was a
slow death...He beat the crap out of it for 3 days straight.
It was in a 180 reef...no chance of catching the fish.
I would not want to see that happen to you.
Good luck
Tim
p.s. the reason above is the fish are both exact body
shape and very aggressive towards each other etc....
that is what I have been told....

Hi Nigel
It's not really a long time but we've had our yellow for about 3 years...

Sohal Tang, I have the same experience.
I put a Powder Blue Tang about 4 inch and a Powder Blown Tang about 8 inch in a 75g fish only tank several months ago.
The Powder Blue is only half size of Powder Blown, but he chases the Powder Blown all over the tank and damages all his fins.
It was just horrible.
It last about 2 days before I trade in this “mean” Powder Blue for another fish.
These two fish are the best looking tangs in my opinion.
I really love to keep them both.
However, when it comes to you only can keep one.
Well, I have to say I love the Blown better than the Blue.
Does anyone have this two fish in the same tank???

wow....so the blue beat up the brown..
in my case it was the exact opposite and
both fish were same size....
I love BOTH of those fish....
I guess perhaps I like the blue more
but not much more
