I hope someone can help. I just put a Green Carpet Anemone in my tank about a week or so ago, and my percula clownfish haven't even acknowledged it's existence. Is there anything I could do to help introduce them to the carpet? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Unfortunately there is no guarantee that a clownfish will take to any Anemone, even if they are commonly paired in the wild.

A week is not a long time to wait. I would suspect that the new Carpet Anemone still is settling in, and perhaps the Clownfish haven't really accepted it being there just yet. From what I understand though, a Carpet Anemone is a natural host for Percula and Oscellaris clownfish, so your chances are pretty good that it will eventually host.

I have a Bubble Tip Anemone in my tank which is not a natural host for Oscellaris Clownfish, of which I have a pair. They didn't pay any attention to it for almost 2 weeks, and now they are inseparable. In the wild you wouldn't see this symbiosis for these particular species, but all bets are off in our home aquariums.

Give it some time. Just keep the Anemone happy, and if it's meant to be, it will be.

I had a carpet and a couple of Sebae clowns, it took them about a month before they started to use the carpet. But I had to give up the carpet because my other fish were disappearing. I haven't lost one since. So if you start lossing fish you'll know who the culprit is.
