oh yeah, not sure if you know this, but i think it is generay best to keep clowns of seperat species, seperate. Especially if you of the sets is a breeding pair.

Hey Scott:
So u think i should keep my Percula Clowns in the 29gallon tank? instead of putting them into the 90 gallon, when it gets going good? The Percs are a pair,so u think the other clowns will hurt them?:worried:

I personally would be more worried about the pair attacking the others. I can't cay for sure, but i would think that inevitably one would end up beating up on the other. If i were you and with the price of fish down there I would sell the two larger clowns (the two that aren't a pair) to a LFS and use it to get some other cool fish or corals. For that matter if they will give you cash then buy some fish mail order with it.

 Hey i'm not sure if the Maroon Clowns are a pair also they always seem to be hanging out together all the time:cool: But i will wait a month or so as this 90 is not %100 par right now a few of my levels are up:sad: so i gotta worry about that first.
Thanks:cheers:

Maroon Clowns are the MOST agressive of the clownfish species. DONOT put another clown in if they are paired up. Your female maroon will kill any threats she sees to her territory..

If the maroons are the size you mentioned and are in a tank thogether they are paired up. A female adult maroon will not let anyone but her mate nearby.. Mine killed her mate one day out of the blue. and attacks me when I would work in the tank.

Clownfish are a member of the damselfish species. Once they have found a territory adn are paired they can become very agressive towards other species of clowns. Best bet is to not put more than a pair of clowns in a tank. It can be done and has been. but why risk it? More often than not a female clown will kill any intruder in her home. Unless your tank is large enough to keep them out of her way..
