Well folks,

The first meeting seemed to go over as well as I hoped. We had ten people show so thats not to shabby! I'll post closer to next month on where the next meeting will take place. Hopefully we will get more of a turn out from Peterborough folks and perhaps some to the west and east as well.
Remember you don't have to be from just Peterborough or Lindsay to be involved in our society!

Anyhow just wanted to thank everyone who came to the first meeting and if you would like to provide any input or suggestions for the next meeting please provide your input.

Cheers,

Patrick

Patrick, what is the setting and what do you discuss? Do you plan on having speakers doing presentations? I would like to attend the next meeting, please let me know.

Also, depending on what type of venue you are looking for I have an office with a board room that sits 6 and a very large warehouse were we could meet. All you would need are some tables and chairs?

I also have a 3000 sq ft warehouse for lease that would be perfect for a new aquarium store in Peterborough, its right on the parkway!!!!!!!

Cheers Steve

Hello ReeferSteve,

The group opinion after the first meeting was pretty content with an open floor discussion while chit chatting about different aspects of my aquariums that we were viewing.

The plan for the next meeting will be another members home within Peterborough where we can view his aquarium and ask questions and just see how many different ways there truly is to maintain sucessfully a reef aquarium.

We are also throwing around the ideas of doing a frag swapping at the next meeting which would be nice, I do know most people within the group have different zoos or shrooms to swap but not much in the way of sps.

Perhaps in the future the group as a whole will feel as though they would like more structure and more of a presentation style format, but until then I am quite content just getting the opportunity to just meet up with the group of local hobbyists and talk about different facets of the hobby.

Cheers,

Patrick
