I would like to start up a tank with a seahorse. What size of tank would I need and what do they require (rock. heat, light)?:help:

What sort of experiance do you have in the hobby, beacuse seahorse might not be the place to start for a rockie

I have been in the hobby for a while, gone through many tanks different sizes and different species, Just never tried to keep seahorse's, My next project.

Aaron would be the gent to talk to. Find him in the seahorse section or send him an email at seanic.
A tall tank would be best, say 24". They prefer cooler water ( 76 degrees I think) and no special lighting.
They will need something to grab ahold of. Tonga branch works good according to Aaron and it also looks good ;)
Once again ...speak to Aaron. He will have all the answers. I am just posting to give you a quick general answers to your questions

thanks for the advice guys, again its something I am just looking into right now, I won't be setting it up for a few months

little reefer..I second the motion on Aaron being excellent to deal with....I have done some business with him and he is a
complete gentleman and his prices are excellent/competative
also on everything I saw.....
Seahorses are definitely his specialty
