Hi all, I'll start my first post here with a problem. I have a new t. max clam that has been in my tank for about 10 days. 9 of them were happy as a clam days. Day 10 and the mantle has receded into the shell so that I can see the first 1/8 -1/4 inch of the inside of the shell. Anyone seen this before? It is still able to close itself, but it not all that responsive to light. I have it placed about 5 inches below the surface under 2x 175w/10k lights. Mild current passes over it. Is this clam doomed? Thanks!

PS..AJ, remember, you promised to sell me rock at only double the cost!! <g>

Hey ReefRaf...glad you dropped in!

I personally haven't seen it, but I will do some research into this and ask my partner (marine biologist and 20+ year reef keeper) Frank as well. I will get an answer one way or the other by later on today (Friday-Oct-12th).

As for the LR...I don't go back on a promise (but I forgot to tell you that the shipping will 4x normal)!! :p

Good to see you here...and you made it here WITHOUT seeing a 'Comet Cursor'!

I'll get back to you on this issue soon...

Thanks AJ, but the clam has gone to a better reef in the sky. Too bad..:-(
As for the shipping costs, I thought you delivered free and in person!! I'm just down the road in Victoria! You could throw some rock in your car and bring it by <g>
