84 foot tank, cool. :)

My 2¢ is to stick with glass. It doesnt scratch easily, which means you can use a razor to clean corraline off it.

My brother has a big acrylic, and It's a major pain getting corraline off an acrylic tank once it get hold. Make a tank with starfire front glass if you are worried about glass clarity. I hear they are noticably clearer on thick glass.

Acrylic is cool because you can buff scratchess out, and it's eay to drill the tank yourself.

If you really mean 84 inches long and not 48 inches, then i would suggest beefing up the other 2 dimensions or i think you would find the tank to be very much out of proportion.

I too like glass
