I just pickuped a blue-tipped acropora and when I was removing it from the shipping bag, I guess I scrapped couple of the branches against the bags and 2 of the branches loss the blue colours and is now white. Other branches are fine....
The branches are brown with the tips blue...
Will the blue come back on those 2 damaged branches or is it better to nip those branches off?

Another question, I am starting to see a lot of I guess tube worms in my tank...It has a tube and red in colour, very small, and the tube is hard, and curls in a circular pattern with a bit sticking up in the air....Are these critters harmful and what are they?

commie,
give the Acro a couple of days to acclimatize, keep your eye on it though. As for the tube worms, they've gotten a bad rap in this hobby for some unknown reason, no need to worry, it's a sign of a healthy tank.
:spin:

Hmm... The only thing bad I can think of is that they multiply like crazy and if your not careful when fiddling around inside the tank you can scrape/cut yourself on them.

Just wanted to give an update to the acropora...Its been about 2 weeks in the tank now...The white tips has recovered. However, they did not turn back to the blue...It turned purple.
The other tips that were blue are turning purple as well. and any new growths are purple instead of blue.
Also, there were couple of polpys around the base that went white when I put the coral in...Now those white has turned to purple as well, and it looks like its spurting a new branch from it.

Well, I don't know about you, but purple is way better than blue ;)
