hey people...
I got a few new things for my tank on the weekend. I am questioning a few hitch hikers that found there way into the bag....
Are these anemones or zoos? Are they good or bad?
Thanks in advance.

Majano anemone...NOT good as it'll sting other Corals and they move around a lot...very quickly as well!!
Kill it with Kalk paste or nuke the whole rock in the microwave (if they'r eall on one piece of rock)

I can't tell from that pic but it doesn't look like a zoa. Take a look at majano and see if it's close.
Also, you may have better luck getting a clear pic by using the camera's macro setting and a timer (on some sort of stand is possible).

Gotta love it when two people post at the same time.

Thanks guys, those are the buggars. they are both on 1 rock, so should be easily removed.
Its too bad they are harmful, rather cool looking little things with great color.
Thanks again

Ya - I was going to comment on how neat they looked too... They really don't enjoy kalk paste, by the way. It's kinda like watching my father-in-law when I tricked him into eating suicide chicken wings - probably with a similar effect.
If you need something to inject them with kalk paste and don't know anyone with medical syringes for one reason or another - you can go to any store like Home Outfitters and get a meat "flavour" injector. Works like a charm.
Although - they appear to be pretty accessible where they are so the Q-Tip dab method would probably also work well. :)

For some reason people do seem to like these pests. My LFS even sells them under the name "Green MET anemone". Anyone in the Sarina area beware. I'm sure more than a few have them as the last shipment of "Green Met's" are gone and this one looks to be almost gone as well.
