I have a delima, I just recantly purchased a ORP monitor to read my water level. My monitor reading is at 378mv and climbing. I lowered my ozone level to 25mg/h. Is 300mv-350mv the better level to keep ?
What is the rule of thumb,
the higher the mv level = the lower ozone level or vice verca?
Sorry if this question has been asked. When you have a monitor(s), you see things in a different way. :confused1
Thanks in advance.

Sorry i'm a little tired, ozone on will raise your ORP.

If I recall my research correctly, i believe the idea is to always keep your orp below 400. With ozone usage the level tends to climb and therefore the rule of thumb is to monitor it so as it reaches the 400 you are to stop ozone and reintroduce it when it falls below some level.

As discussed above using your monitor have it turn on ozone at some level say ~350 and turn off at say ~375.

i now my orp set at 375mV, this way it turns on once in a while and my skimmer is still able to function. if i remember what i read correctly that too high an ORP will cause oxygen depletion which would suffocate your tank along with other detrimental effects. I had my ozonizer for a year before setting it up since i didn't have a probe for my controller (bought a new one), personally i wouldn't run orp without a controller, it's just too risky
