looks like a sea squirt (bortryllus or botrylloides)

Keep it in the dark, it can't compete with photosynthetic organisms.

That's easy. Nitrate, silicate, phosphate. If you run out of those you're a lucky man.
You can give them Polyp Labs Reef Roids as well. You will see it within the tissue as they feed.
