well last night, my fav blenny went carpet surfing out of his temp home (large bucket) it sucks! he was the coolest little sailfin and i've had him along time.

too the point. it was sold to me as a sailfin blenny (not to be confused with the sailfin/algae blenny.

i'd like to replace him. its the only one i've seen in my lfs. 2" long(after 2 years with me) diameter of a cap for a bic pen . turns from urine yellow to dark dark green. (green being the usual color)
had a mean streak a mile long and loved to toss hermits that vertured to close to his home across the aquarium. he'd bite em, shake his head like a dog and then let go. this behavior was only to critters smaller than he was. :)

anybody have info on this little dude? scientific name? where its from etc.
i'd like to order another, and dont want an algae blenny to show up. :)
thanks guys.

Google "Leopard Blenny" or "Exallias brevis".

Is this what you are after?
