Hi guys,

This morning I noticed this in my tank. I was wondering if maybe my Chromis Viridis got "jiggy".

If you know what this is, PLEASE tell me :confused1

Agreed. It looks like snail eggs to me.

I always imagined fish eggs to be in clusters and not strings.

Thanks for all the responses.

What are the chances that they will make it?

They will probably hatch.

A few might make it, skimmers are usually the demise of most spawns in a tank.

If you really, really want them to make it you need a conditioned nursery. By that I mean a nusery that has a sand bed, plenty of algae, and a proper filtration designed for the larvae. This is as simple as an air driven foam filter. For water circulation an airlift.

Since you have snails that are spawning it would be beneficial to set-up a small 5 gallon nursey for the next time around.
