white sticks

Hello, i have some new live rock, there are aprox six white sticks, branches on the one piece of live rock, all about 1 inch in length and look like fine branches comming off main trunk. Circled in picture any idea what these are? Look stiff like tree branches and don't react to light ie don't shrink or grow when lights are on or off

i have them to i think they are a type of sponge

Ya t's hard to see, but I think sponge too. I have a bunch just like it. It's good.
