Noticed this guy a couple of months or so ago when I rearranged my rockwork.

I thought at first it was some sort of worm living in the rock but I now think it's an anenome of some type. The neat part? That's base rock it's living on, so it either moved there from a live rock or was bred in my tank. I doubt it was bred, I can't find anymore of them. It's small, about 1cm across when open like that. It closes in the light so I had to take this pic as soon as the lights came on.

Notice the red bold text in your image link. This is what's causing the problems.

Place http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/7780/kif5221ya0.jpg
between tags.

Or

Click the http://www.aquariumpros.ca/forums/images/editor/insertimage.gif button - and paste the image URL (http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/7780/kif5221ya0.jpg) into the pop-up box.

Resulting in:

Also - if you use the AP Photo & Video Gallery (http://www.aquariumpros.ca/photopost/index.php) - it provides an exact cut/paste link to insert the image into any forum page (pre-formatted for you).

Ball Anemone Pseudocorynactis spp. They are actually Corallimorphs, mushrooms, and divide via fission.

Here's an orange ball anemone

Did some further reading (something about this one was bugging me) and came up with the possibility of it being Corynactis spp. as these are the smaller versions of Pseudocorynactis spp., only getting to be ~2.5cm. However corynactis tend to be colonial

Either way, you've got a mushroom on your hands that can get out of hand.

Out of hand, eh? Well, there's only one right now that I can see and it's rather attractive so I'm going to leave it for now. I wouldn't mind having a little colony of those things but not a tank full. Thanks for the id, I'll keep an eye on it.
