The home made live rock experiment is working wonderfully well so far. I now have about 20lbs of it in my tank and it looks great!! Its only been there for a couple of days, but everythign is still looking well. Pretty good for concrete. Sure beats paying for it throught the wazoo at the store!

What did you use as a filler? i have been told Rice or PVC shaving are good? Did you use anything?

Crushed oyster shell. Looks really nice. (looks like oatmeal when you are making it though)

Sorry for the wait, but her'es a picture of the rocks in question. Sorry they're not in the tank, but my camera cord just dosn't go that far;) Scott and I have been making these, the ones in the pic are in fact out of the very first batch. ( Scott you'll notice they aren't quite as big as you remember lol) First ones turned out a little crumbly, but they look really nice under water, once I got all the crumbly stuff of they turned out great.
