This was told to my American friend that it is a "purple malu from Tonga" by his supplier but looking at the tenacles, it is most likely not a malu at all. Any ideas?
(I did get another 'purple malu' from WTR today, however it is really a M.Doreenis Corkscrew type of LTA) Seems like anything purple will be called purple malu LOL

That is highly unlikely :) I wish my clowns go into such a beautiful cond. thou :)
The owner said it's H.crispa too (probably because H.crispa usually have a high chance of having the purple morph than all other clown-hosting). However I am not sure how by the look of it can distinguish from a magnificant/ritteri b/c those do have a more wildy imported purple morph too.

Yes, the anemones at WTR are doreensis.
H. magnifica has rounded tips, while H. crispa has tapered tips. The tapered tips of the one in your picture give it away as H. crispa.
