Was just going to update my avator and seen this msg is this new I dont think anyone else is following this guideline or just part of the recent upgrade.

If you have a custom avatar and want to keep it as it is, leave the fields below as they are.

You may upload a new custom image using the controls below. Either enter the URL to the image you wish to use, or use the upload control to upload an image directly from your own computer.

This MUST be a picture of YOU - NOTHING else is permitted (including your tank, pets, logos, etc.). Please have respect for the fact that this is a Family community - so please do not upload any images that may be offensive. ANY images that do not follow these rules WILL be deleted immediately.

This is to allow for other members to be able to recognize you should they see you out and about.

I am not a moderator so take this as an opinion.

The message has been there for a while. I think the intent of it is to keep people from posting wild, crude or other wise offensive images to a family oriented website.

Patwa has been using very amuzing and seemingly endless, custom avatars for the entire time I have been here and never once have I ever seen his true mug.

Keep it clean, polite and unoffensive, and the Mods look the other way.

This was caused by a change in the way some of the 'phrases' are referred to in the new version of the software. This was supposed to be within the "Profile Picture (http://www.aquariumpros.ca/forums/profile.php?do=editprofilepic)" section - NOT the Avatar (http://www.aquariumpros.ca/forums/profile.php?do=editavatar).

Avatars are just for fun - profile pictures are intended to be real pics of us.

This has now been fixed.

Sorry for the mix-up - and thanks again for pointing it out!!
