A 'top' button at the bottom of the page below the reply box. Long threads can be a pita.
another thought is to use nicknames in the 'buddies' list. Would be nice to have a name (or whatever you choose) as the displayed name instead of or ' - ' after their forum name. Just thought it'd add a little more of a personal connection.

:iagree: I like that idea! Especially when you read as many posts as some of us do.

There already is a "Top" link at the bottom right of every page - in the blue footer bar - right next to "Terms Of Use".

In regard to the Buddies List - I know of no way to create personalized tags for your saved buddies. If I find an existing hack for this - I will install it though.

#1 - privacy factors
#2 - already part of vb 3.6.x - which we will be upgrading to as soon as vbportal 3.6.x goes to supported release
#3 - wrong version - 3.0 - I won't install old version hacks - cause issues with performance
#4 - Used to have this installed - HUGE load on server - ditched it
I don't install hacks that add queries to the page - kills the server in a hurry.

To be honest I went looking for the hack but came across the oversized hack. Posted a few others after I found that one that I thought might be an idea, but forgot to look at the version. Guess I was too caught up in finding the buddy description hack.
Maybe the hack's over at vb.com, if I find it I'll post the link.

Oh - and just a note to your search...
I need to make sure that any and all hacks that are applied, are already ported to work with the new version release 3.6.x
...otherwise - the edits will just screw-up the board once we upgrade it. Makes for a PITA when upgrading - but something that must be done.
Thanks again.

LoL I found some mods for you when you do go to 3.6.1
Newbie mod (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=122994) - Members of selected user groups will need to confirm destination forum for the new thread if their post count is less than the number you choose. If member is not in the correct forum, he will be able to choose a different forum from a drop-down menu.
Thread Description (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=126275) (3.6.0) - This hack allows your users to add descriptions to their threads that show up on the thread list. This allows people to read what the thread is about before they enter the thread.
Thread Hover preview description (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=124504) (3.6.0)
I'm looking for the buddy list template but I've only found a IPB template. A precompiled VB template and global hack would be nice.
