Some time ago I posted a thread about my zoos disappearing, and then reappearing.
Folks called me mad.
They kept disappearing and reappearing.
I thought I was mad.
I finally found the culprit.
Pic 1 shows where the zoos SHOULD have been
I noticed Pic 2 was what I saw in the corner - Pic 3 is how far it meandered away from my zoos.
Pic 4 is as good as I could get of the criter before he slithered away.
It concerns me somewhat that it was sedentary for several months at a time, and then they move. Now he seems interested in snuggling with my other zoos.

I have a tiny conch with the traditional white spiral with spikes that seems to be determined to live in the same spot in my zoos. I was sure it was dead, threw it on the sand bed during cleaning and it moved back by the next morning!
I certainly beleive it could grow zoos on it should it remain there for a few more weeks.

one of my blue legged hermit crabs had zoos growing on it's shell also, the empty shell was near my zoo garden for awhile and i guess the crab needed a new home and chose that one, it was very cool for the time that he was using it, he has since upgraded to an even bigger home

That gives me a great idea.... . Would it be possible to glue the Zoas to the shell of the snail and have a tankful of moving Zoas?? Might look cool in a Nano...:bravo:

The bummer part is the Zoos are doing poorly.

They used to have a brilliant orange colour, and now because they move around the tank so much, they keep retracting when the snail bumps into anything. It's also a bit of a trick because they crawl around under my huge hammer and frogspawn and get stung and close up.

It's not zoos but one of my snails has a feather duster growing on it's shell. It just sort of came that way.:bwink:
