View Full Version : Long Grey Worm, what is it?

Alright after finding a huge juicey bristleworm on Saturday I'm now viewing my tank a lot more at night.

I have now found this work about 6inches long, very thin and is grey in color. Any ideas? Sorry no pics.

bristle worm maybe? does it look like a worm with tiny hairs on its sides or is it smooth

Nope no hairs, smooth and doesn't look segmented at all.

It could be much longer than 6 inches. It appears to be wrapped in and out of hole in a piece of rock.

Definitely not a snail or crab. No legs either so I don't think it is a bristleworm.

Possibly a Sipuncula worm otherwise known as a "peanut worm". They feed on detritus. So if that's what it is then it's good to have in the tank.
