Crab ID

Is this bugger good or bad? (For a crab that is?)
Seems more beefy then the emerald crabs I've had.

Andreas, I have had one of these guys in my tank a few months back.......I took him out by catching him at night, I put him in my seahorse tank......one morning he had one of my bigger horses by the tail and had dragged him back into his hole......needless to say it was goodbye for that crab!

I had two of these guy's in my tank, One died after about two years the other one is still in my tank. I'm not sure if they are completely reef safe but so far he's been okay. He came in on the live rock when I first setup the tank. It's almost three years now. I place food by his hole every couple of days and he grabs it and disappears back into his hole in the rock

I have 3 of them guys in my tank as well, I managed to get one of them out but 2 of them still in there they are the size of a toonie, once a while I see them picking on polyps but nothing serious so far the little buggers are too fast to catch.:idea: :rocket:
