Hitchhiker ID please

I picked up some LR from RR about a month or two ago... finally started getting my 180 setup but noticed this little.... err... big guy on the rocks? he was in a dark tub for about 2 months and is still living? what do i do with it? drop him in the sump or tank?

when its clumped up its still like aboue 1.5 inches long

Looks to me like a mushroom out of the water, but hey, when in doubt move him to the sump, it's easier to move something from the sump to the DT than the other way around.

i know... but i saw it moving around yesterday... looks like a nudibranch/snail/slug?
