I have a lead on some captive bred Erectus (from Ocean Rider parents), only 20 available in total and 10 are already spoken for, so if you want to "get in on it" better hurry. They will be delivered to London, if interested in any please PM me for details.

CITES doesn't issue permits for wild caught seahorses. All (legal) seahorses are required to be captive bred.

Most of the farms breed them in the Ocean, so there isn't much of a difference anyway.

Tank raised seahorses are easy to tell, as they're considerably smaller. It isn't commercially viable to raise them to adult size in closed systems. Captive raised are probably only reared for six months maximum, while the ocean reared ones appear to be a year old.

Mr. Wilson and everyone else
do you know where dwarf sea horse can be found at a good price and
mr. wilson, you have sea horse in a 14g, how do you think they would fair in a 10g until my 30g has recycled?

I would wait for the tank to be ready. Juggling livestock never works out as you planned.

That's basically like all those food fish farms that are setup in the ocean but with a certain fenced off parameter. And call it captive breed or mariculture :)

Well all I can say is that if Mark is making them available, then they'll be in great shape. If anyone knows ponies, I think it's him. He's been a great help to me with mine and hopefully I'll be able to call on him in the future. Unfortunatly I dont think I'll be adding anymore in the next little while as I'll be concentrating on rearing the fry that I've been getting every 4 weeks!!!!:bravo: Man I'm gonna need alot more BBS:D
