Clean up of the classifieds?

Could we start beating the people who just put a comment like SOLD! Instead of hitting the "Sold It" button? Possibly a reminder in the general forum if corporal punishment is deemed too unfriendly?

Or perhaps is there a moderator for that area? I'd volunteer to go through it all every few weeks and nuke the SOLD ones that are still sticking around.

I started today....there are some ads that are well over a year old! I will delete them as I see them....I'll work on it a bit each day so hopefully in a week or 2 we only have ads that are current within the last 2-3 monthes.

Thanks. I just burned myself by getting all excited about 2 or 3 things that were both "THANKS GUYS! SOLD!" in the comments.

What I am starting to do is go through the ads, anything that hasn't had any interest within the last 3 month's will get nuked by me, some people may have to relist their ads but this can't be helped. Keep in mind this won't happen overnight as there are a ton of old ads to be deleted but I will work at it a bit each day so it will slowly get corrected.

Well I think I have read every ad in the classifieds and deleted all the old ones and any that have sold in the comments, I may have missed a few but I am not sure. Hope this helps.
