Hey guys, I am about to purchase this unit as I am tired of manually testing for calcium. Can anyone give me feedback on how good they are? Are they worth the money? Do they break down quick? How are the probes? Do they need to be recalibrated frequently?
Thanks.

Thanks ADude.
Hmm... it says its worth it. But it does say it needs frequent calibration if left in the water. Does anyone else do that, leave the probe in the water?

Try a search on AP. I remember reading a thread a couple of months ago that left me with a feeling that they were more trouble then they were worth.

Hey Vlad,
FWIW stick to your manual testing. How many times do you test your calcium? Once you know your system well you only need to test it once a week. In my case, if i notice a sudden growth spurt on clams then i test it before the scheduled date. You can use that money for something else.
Thank you,
Marte

Thanks Marte, and rest for talking me out of it. I didn't realize that it was a PITA! So, I am just going to stick to the ol test kits...
