I am currently running my Actinic bulbs the full time that the lights are on. Is this the norm? My current cycle is as follows.

10:00 PC Actinic on 130 Watt

11:00 15K M.H. on 500 Watt

13:30 12K P.C. on 192 Watt

15:00 12K P.C. off 192 Watt

22:00 15K M.H. off 500 Watt

23:00 PC Actinic off 130 Watt

Still don't have any moonlights yet but all in time I guess. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

as long as your not running them through the night that seems fine

I agree, that looks fine.

That's entirely up to you. Do the actinics add any visual effect when the halides are on? Is it noticable? If not then you can use them for dawn/dusk periods and save some hydro.

I like the way that they effect the corals. I find that they tend to Flouress(spelling?) a bit more with the Actinic's running. On the Hydro topic I was kind of hoping that you would all say that it was terribly wrong and then I would have to turn them off. Therefor saving a bit of Hydro. Oh well, have to work a little more overtime then.

If you like how they look then leave your timers set as they are and enjoy your tank. It's only a few pennies a day to run the actinics.
