check out seahorse.org, they do have quite a good list and readings on the coral compatibility. Tangs might be bad, but you can go go with small fishes like gobies, pipefish etc...

will do. thanks alot. i was wondering if i should get rid of my yellow tang and im also hoping to get a blue tang. but i guess i cant if im thinking of getting sea horses. i was thinking getting clownfish (percs) and a dwarf angel instead. i know damsels are a bad idea. anyone heard of a tank with a tang and a seahorse?

Does a dead seahorse count? LOL Seriously, seahorses require daily feeding, be prepare for that responsibilities and read it up before you purchase them. Lots of seahorses die with inexperienced keepers. May I ask how long you have been in the hobby?

ive had a fresh water tank for about 6 years. got bored of it and decided to move towards salt. started with a preditor tank but got bored really quickly because my puffer seemed to eat anything that was interesting. then got into the sub reef system. i've had my saltwater setup for about 8 months max. one thing i realized about this hobby is that it requires ALOT of reading. almost shames my university studies lol.

Pipefish are great tank mates, pajama or banggai cardinals are also good.
Clowns like tangs are not good mates they're to fast and out compete the seahorses for food.

You could add Neon Gobies and or Fire Gobies. They will like the hand feeding you're going to have to do with the Horses.

Hand feeding???? I use a turkey baster, would never consider hand feeding, the horses are shy enough.

Using a turkey baster to bring the food to the fish is hand feeding as opposed to dumping the food into the tank. (do Sea Horses eat hands?) ;0)

Great link vaporize. that site was really helpful. i just figured they need alot of space and all but most people recomend going small for those things. also they go well with many really nice fish.
