I think i saw you at RR on Friday buying the same sponge...were you with your wife/girlfriend??

you have to always ask what you are buying....it does not make sense to buy something without at least knowing it's name..

it's an orange teardrop sponge....it needs a very dark area of the tank...if it starts to develop a slime/algae on the surface, DO NOT BRUSH IT OFF....it'll only promote more damage of the tissue.......just move it to an area of low light.....also dose phyto if you aren't already

and never expose it to air (this type of sponge, at least)

Is it a hard stony coral? Might be this one.

Man, you seriously joking me, it definitely is not a monitpora cap. :)

Like everybody else said, it's a orange sponge, and yes, high possibility of dying in your tank like alot of the colorful sponge. Add phyto as Patwa said might enable it's surivival longer.

Thanks, Zach.
I think you're right.

yes, she is my wife.

I was too happy last Friday.
Playing golf(Royal Ashburn) in the morning, then shopping in the afternoon.

I'll remember to ask for the name next time. Thanks for reminding.

Sounds like it's not easy to keep...:band:

And I bought this Christmas Blasto in RR last Friday as well.
It looks great, even I don't have strong lighting.

It's an orange fan sponge.
Hope they did not expose it to air during its transfer.

I think it may also be called a paddle sponge, but you will be better able to see the difference if there is any at all.
