Red-Sea,
Your last tank was a 150 was it not ? (48*30*24)
You went with a longer tank, but not as deep front to back. Any specific reason why?
As you know I sold my 200 and I'm trying to decide between the two sizes .

Thanks for the compliment guys, the rockwork has still to be arranged to better since there was a sandstorm while I was working on it that's all I could see.
Derek the reason I went for 60"x24" because i live in a condo & space is limited, the 30" deep tank I like better but unfortunately it was blocking part of my tv & that means war with my wife...lol:D

hey dan..

think its smart having your balast there? just wonderign what would happen if for some reason youd skimmer went nuts and caused that overflow jug to overflow?? the the housing water proof? Just thought i would give the heads up? im sure you have thought of it!

Tooloud, that jug was just a temperory thing while I was waiting for my collection cup, these are special desigh holders so when it's full it shut's the skimmer off completely, and I keep an eye on it every day just to keep thing in check, thanks for the concern...
Since that pic lots of things have been changed there are more then 10 diferent Acro. colonies & all of the LPS has been relocated either to the back or the bottom, I'm waiting for my new digital camera to keep you guys posted with the progress.:D

Including the power heads is there 4 returns to the tank REDSEA?
All pointing towards the front glass? Is there any other
circulation in the tank other then those?(not that it would be needed)

Tim, there is 2 3/4" returns from the sump driven by Mag18 with the head loss its pushing about 1400GPH, plus 6x powerheads @290GPH each so total water movement is aprox. 3000GPH there is more powerheads hiden behing the rockwork to avoid dead spots but soon I will be gettin my Tunze Streem powerheads 2x 1600GPH that should bump me up to around 4600GPH & get rid of the rest powerheads, my SPS are starving for more current...ha ha:D

Holy jumpin Red Sea....that is excellent..you hid those power heads pretty darn nicely......The Tunze sounds like an awesome
product...definitely for the serious reefer...I am NOT THERE yet....but I hope to be.....I am GETTING THERE at the rate I am
going though...Man....those Tunze will do an awesome
job of keeping detris off the rock etc not to mention all
the other benefits of current...

Well..congrats on an excellent looking tank....

I LOVE reefs and thats a nice one!
