That was an interesting article...not sure, well I know I am not ready for that technique but it definitely was an interesting read. Thanks.

I use a dremel with those exact bits to do all my fragging, you get nice precise cuts, predictable fractures and most importantly little tissue damage. I especially like the cutting discs.

Have you fragged a plate coral?

No I never had a plate coral in my tank so I haven't had a chance to frag one.

Maybe you could tell us how and what you fragged with your dremel?

Maybe you could tell us how and what you fragged with your dremel? I've fragged my Echinos with my dremel. I just used a cut-off wheel to slice 3/4 way through the back of the plate. Then I broke the skeleton along the cut and sliced any still attached tissue with a razor. All of the frags I've taken with this method have healed pretty quickly and done well.

so true....I got me a nice hot pink echino frag from Colin and it's doing great (thanks man!)

I also use a rotary tool (crappy tire brand) with a diamond cutting disc (from Princess Auto)....like a hot knife through butta! fragging made easy.

plus i also use the usual tile snips, pliers etc to get around irregular pieces.

Nothing beats using your fingers to snap SPS, unless they are plating corals.
