Chris those are pics of the "famous" Acanthastrea family of corals.
They are LPS and have been the recent rage in reef-keeping because of there crazy colours, although that seems to be dying down now until our freinds south of the border come up with another coral they are willing to pay outrageous prices for.

That is a Dendronephthya. Non-photosynthetic, and very difficult to keep in captivity. One of the most spectacular corals out there.. too bad its so hard to keep alive..

hello everyone
yes i can get mantis shrimp, they are easy to get. i have my largest shipments yet coming in about 2 weeks time ill bring in about 5 or 6 for you.
the purple blue coral is sold, and yes it was an acanthastrea. the three acans that came in this shipment where extremely nice. frags of them are selling for 80 dollar per head south of the boarder.
that coral is commonly called a carnation coral. Dendronephthya
it requires low light, low - medium water flow. it is non - photosynthetic. it requires regular feedings of brine shrimp, and phytoplankton. we found that these corals take very well to Reefroids. we have 2 of these left.
still all kinds of very nice corals in stock. Tonga corals came in large and shipping price was out of this world. almost all larger corals where fraged to reduce prices, and so everyone would be able to get a chance at the different ones.

hello
sorry about that. that acanthastrea sold for 150.
the acans are selling for 150 - 175 dollars for the entire colony. on the ones i have left there are about 60 heads on the one acan, and at least 70 on the other.
generally my regular Indonesian acanthastrea will go for about 60 - 70 dollars.

they are encrusting donut corals . very very different from the standard indo variety. that orange ones was awsome ive ordered like 30 of them for the next shipment which i will be posting about soon.

In the tropics, it is larger and sometimes colonial, but not encrusting.

i am going to be listing all of the prices from now on. i am going to start labeling the different corals systems with pricing. as in all corals in vat one 40 vat 2 50 vat 3 60, and anything that doesn't fit into a general category will have its own sticker for pricing. much less confusion that way and more fair for everyone.
