aquaclear 300?

would an aquaclear 300 be ok for a 65 gallon tank with 3 p's? i'm on a really tight budget and that would be the cheapest.

They're great for circulation. Just run them empty or throw in the odd carbon pack. Of course, providing your other tank conditions are good, they are a decent source for water movement.

There is a guy on this list who also converted an aqua clear style filter into a mini refugium. works great. Might be something to think about.

How big is your tank? and you say mandarins, how many?

Mandarins aren't the easiest fish to keep, just do a lot of reasearch before you get any.
