Looking forward to seeing these clams - been a very very long time since we have seen respectable size high quality clams in the GTA.

Hi Ryan,

How do you feel this rock compares to say premium
grade Figi live rock?????

The shapes look cool but I am extremely concerned
about FILTRATION...... Cosmetics are great but
do you feel this rock will FILTER as good Biologically
as porous Figi Rock????????

Please advise,
thanks kindly,
The rock looks AWESOME !

TimSame concern with me, being they are dead lettuce corals. You had some nice once covered with coralline the first shipment. What happened with this one?

i dont think there is any difference between this and Fiji for filtration.

there is more then enough surface area to support the bacteria needed to filter the water. sand bed, skimmer, live rock, combine these 3 items and i think there isn't a difference.

basically what i am saying is IMO you could use base rock seed it, and you tank will be just as successfully as a tank full of Marshall Tonga Haiti miyaki...dosent matter,

again this is just my opinion.

i would also like to add this. when shopping for rock look for three things. shape, weight, and price. color your gonna get yourself with the addition of calcium. all the fancy looking macros and stuff you see on all the different rocks mean nothing as a couple months with a tang or 2 and its all gone! shape weight and price. shape being most important IMO, weight and price go hand in hand. this rock has everything you need. you ever notice that all rock ends up looking exactly like any other rock except for the shape.

I agree with you on that Ryan. From a filtration standpoint rock is all pretty much he same. Just judge it by weight/volume, and that'll give a good idea or porusness.
The only one thats noticeably less-porus, is most Florida rock, which we dont get anymore anyway.

I didnt realize you had more lettuce rock in Ryan, I thought you werent getting any till the 24th?

I was gunna do a short fish tour tonight.

I actually picked up a piece of Ryan's lettuce rock from the first shipment for my own tank.

Very impressed with the rock and it is surprisingly porous/light.

Pretty good stuff.
