Hello,
I've had my 6" Silver Arowana for about a month in a 30 gal tank with a Penguin 150 filter. He was happy and healthy eating Hikari Floating sticks. Yesterday, I bought 10 guppies and put it in the tank after I did a 25% water change. He enjoyed 5 of them.
This morning I woke up and found that the webbing on his tail fins are missing or detioriating(tail rot?). Then his left eye has cloudiness and looks like white flesh is hanging from his pupil.
So... from what I've read from various forums, Im thinking its a bacteria infection, so I removed the carbon filter and put some Tetracyline in the tank. What do you guys think happened and what do you suggest I do? A good sign is that he still has a good appetite for the pellets and still swimming.
