Baby Turbo Snails VS Sundial snails

Can anyone please post some pics of the two type of snails. I am recently finding some snails that resemble both (in my opinion). I think I see sundial, but they also look like mini turbos..

so it actually has to have that distict shell even when small? i caught one that didnt have that distinct shell but it had a swirl. Then I realized that it could be a turbo snail. So I let it go....

is the snail small with pattern and cone shaped shell?
I am not sure of name of that snail .it comes out at night and there is tons of them on LR.But for sure I know they are reef safe.

thats the other problem that I got, pyramid snails. Actually I think they all were just baby turbos. None had the distinct sundial shell. I guess they have the shell from when they are babies.

take a look at cowries instead of snails...just picked up one from Ryan (WTR)...they're amazing algae cleaners...and very neat......he shoudl be getting a couple hundred more in soon.

i am thinking of getting rid of my XL turbos and replacing with cowries.....they're that good!

you know what, they could be the collonista snails...

RE: My PYRAMID SNAIL PROBLEM.. the 'pyramid' snails are not the white/opaque color like I seem them in pictures. They have a pyramid shaped shell but are brown in color.

zach, i got a mouse cowrie, but its too small to make an impact. I will head over to ryans's when he gets his new shipment.

look at the link to the thread I posted last year abour piramid snails, there is pic of them. do you have cerith snails in your tank? if so they are most likely cerith.

so the white shelled snails are pyramids and the brown shelled snails are cerith.... shnizzle, i was killing off cerith snails... I guess everything is OK in my tank now..lol
