One of my clowns, has some white on his orange.Could this be ICH?Do fish act differently if they have ICH?Knock on wood I've had good luck and never had ICH in any of my Fresh or Saltwater tanks.I will try to get a pic tomorrow?

Thanks

Unfortunately white spots are a pretty good indication that it’s ick. They are small round white spots like little dimples. I have found that cleaner shrimp do a good job in controlling ick. But it’s not always a sure thing. I lost two clowns to ick a couple of years ago, first the one came down with the systems then a couple of days later the other.

Cleaner shrimp will help for sure, you could also try adding garlic to their diet, did wonders for my Hippo Tang.

Ditto on the garlic, It sure seemed to help mine too. If it is ick, then it could be a sign of poor water quality. Maybe check all parameters and do a medium sized water change. A UV fiulter deffinetly helps out with ICK, but it is only a bandage and doesn't solve the problem, just patches it.

Thanks Guys,

It seems to be gone now.I moved some rock around, and maybe i crushed him,by mistake.I looked at him this morning and all the white is gone.Plus he is swimming more freely now.I will add a Cleaner shrimp today just in case, and will put some garlic in the food.

Thanks,
