Hi folks, I'm trying to find Vibrance for my horses, if anyone knows where to get some (besides Ocean Rider in Hawaii) let me know. I have posted on Seahorse.org to see if someone there can help me out too.

If anyone else wants some, and this is the only place to get it, and wants in (If I find someone in the US to get it for me) let me know.

Vibrance is supposed to bring out more reds in the seahorses (and also has some vitamins, etc) so I figured it was worth a try since I am still struggling trying to raise my baby horses.

Hi Mark,

FragFactory will be selling a product similar to vibrance in Canada. It is a brand new product and we are just sorting out the details. Check out my site for updates - fragfactory.ca

I don't know if this helps, but Beta Carotene (vitamin A) is the active ingredient in colour enhancing agents that promote yellow and red colouration. Discus breeders and dealers use it, so you might find this a better resource. It becomes toxic in high levels and I don't know how much is too much.

I have never used Vibrance and don't really think its necessary if you feed properly. You need to enrich your foods with vitamins and I would not just use one vitamin mix as they all have different amounts of different vitamins. Secondly most seahorse owners have got in the habit of feedind only Mysis. You need to vary their diets. Imagine how you would feel eating the same thing every day. As for your baby questions it is very very involved and took me years to figure out. Firstly you need to determine why they babies are dying. Is it environmental or nutrional. Check your water quality people often dismiss this as the problem. I usually feed rotifers for 10 days and then move on to bbs. I always enrich bbs with a variety of things. Lastly you need to feed many times a day.
Good luck
